22nd Annual Hospice Walk raises £7,500

July 22, 2013

This year the Annual Hospice Towpath Walk, celebrating a phenomenal 22 years was held on Sunday 28th April and raised £7,500 for Southern Area Hospice Services!

Speaking on behalf of all those who took part, walk organiser Deborah Kennedy said, “I would like to thank everyone who participated in the walk without whose help we would never have raised such a fantastic sum of money.  Sincere thanks also to the Hockey Club and Cue Club for the use of their premises, Around Noon, and indeed everyone who supported our fundraising efforts in any way.  We had over 100 participants this year and we are delighted that all of our hard work has paid off so well for the Hospice”.

Speaking on behalf of the Hospice Siobhan McArdle said “We are deeply indebted to Deborah and to all those who help her in continuing to organise this walk, and also all of those who take part.  This year saw the 22nd year of our walk so Deborah ad friends truly deserve a great amount of thanks and appreciation for their continued efforts in supporting the Hospice.
