Local man behind Hospice fundraising events

September 16, 2013

Crossmaglen man Damian Martin is behind a number of upcoming charity fundraisers to raise money for Southern Area Hospice Services.

On Friday 20th September a charity Coffee Morning will be held in the Cross Square Hotel, Crossmaglen on Friday 20th September from 11am until 2.00pm.

All proceeds are in aid of the Hospice and everyone is invited to come along, bring a friend and enjoy a cuppa while supporting this worthy charity.

Later this year Damian, along with a number of friends, will undertake a climb of Donegal’s highest mountain, Mount Errigal.  Again all money raised will go to the Hospice.

Damian was prompted to organize these events in memory of close family members Jeannie Garvey and Michael Donnelly, who fought cancer and unfortunately lost their battle to the disease during last year.

Anyone interested in supporting these events financially can donate through Damian’s JustGiving page.

Every donation will help the Southern Area Hospice with their services they provide for people fighting cancer, including Respite care, Medical, Nursing and Physiotherapy care.

With a range of services available to the local community including, inpatient and day care in Newry, outpatient care in Daisy Hill Hospital and palliative care in both Daisy Hill and Craigavon Area Hospital.

So please dig deep and donate now. Every little helps for a worthy cause.
