Cattle rustlers strike again

October 14, 2013

A Whitecross farm became the latest target for cattle rustlers in the area when nine animals were stolen from a field on Drumnahunshin Road, Kingsmill recently.

Some time between 9am on Monday, 6 October and 8am the following morning, nine cattle were stolen. They included three red Limousin bulls, one white Charlois, three black and white Holstein, one brown and white Mont Bellier and one red and white Holstein.

All the animals are between three and eight years old and are tagged.

Police in Newtownhamilton are investigating the theft and believe a lorry would have been required to transport these cattle.  They are appealing to anyone who noticed any vehicular or suspicious activity around the field to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
