Reward offered for recovery of stolen digger

Local agricultural hire firm, HFS Agri Hire has offered a reward for information leading to the recovery of a stolen digger owned by the company.

Speaking to The Examiner, HFS proprietor, Frank Hearty revealed he was offering the reward as an incentive for anyone with information to come forward and insisted that all information would be treated in the strictest of confidence.

The 2.7 tonne Hitachi Airman Digger was stolen from a field in Drumalt Road in Silverbridge on the 22nd September sometime before 12.30pm.  Tracks discovered in the field suggest that the digger was removed on the back of a single axle lorry.

The digger, which has a year 2000 registration, bore HFS Agri Hire stickers on it when stolen and its serial number is 8910190.

The police and relevant authorities have also been notified about the theft.
