Shaun Loughrey to play in Old Coach Inn

October 20, 2014

Shaun Loughrey was born and raised in Manchester, England. The son of one of Tyrone’s finest country singers Johnny Loughrey, Shaun was brought up in a home filled with country music and it was almost inevitable that one day he would find himself being drawn to a life on the stage.

Tragedy struck the Loughrey household in 2005 when both of Shaun’s parents succumbed to that dreadful disease cancer and sadly passed away within two months of each other. It was only after this terrible ordeal did Shaun consider a career in country music following in his father’s footsteps.

Shaun launched his own band in October 2005 with his fathers self penned single ‘Love Is All That Matters’.

Shaun quickly established himself as one of the leading country music entertainers in Ireland. With a discography of Eight albums and two Multi award winning DVDs to his name Shaun really has cemented himself as a firm favourite with the country music loving public and his growing legion of fans worldwide are evidence of a musical career on the up and up.

Shaun’s latest release ‘Look at us’ is a compilation of twenty of Shaun’s favourite Country ‘n’ Irish songs and is looking like being his most successful release to date.

Shaun and his full five piece country band make their first appearance at The Old Coach Inn, Castleblayney on Friday 24th October. One things for sure, there will be no shortage of the best in Country ‘n’ Irish that night
