Grand reopening

October 27, 2014

It’s a period of grand re-openings in Crossmaglen this week with the renovation of the town’s Community Centre now complete, and the redeveloped former Supervalu premises set to open its doors again on Friday.

Groups based in the Community Centre will shortly return to the refurbished surroundings, having relocated to alternative premises to facilitate the £450k upgrade works. Benefitting from extensive modernization, including the addition of an upper storey extension, the new Community Centre is fully accessible for people with disabilities and will be a welcome retreat for its many patrons.

Meanwhile, Casey’s Eurospar will open its doors to customers this Friday with a grand reopening ceremony.  Having undergone a complete refit and re-branding, the revamped supermarket reflects growing confidence in the local economy and will prove a welcome addition for residents and visitors to the town.

Simultaneously, the demolition of the derelict building, in which the Sinn Fein office was previously based, has enhanced the appearance of the town’s Square and paved the way for the planned redevelopment of the site.
