A hat-trick of wins for local milliner

December 1, 2014

Local milliner, Mairéad Traynor, celebrated a Hat-trick of wins when one of her designs was worn by local teacher, Karla Casey, who scooped the top prize for Best Dressed Lady at Navan Racecourse recently.

Karla’s show-stopping outfit turned heads at the event so it was no surprise when she was announced as the best dressed on the day. Judge Pippa O’Connor Ormond commented on how appropriately dressed Karla was for the occasion, adding that her attention to texture and colours was impeccable.

Karla’s outfit was topped-off with a Millinery By Mairéad trilby hat, while Judge Pippa also sported a trilby, the perfect finishing touch to any winter outfit.

Karla’s win marks the third such success in recent months where one of Mairéad’s creations has been featured.

The Millinery by Mairéad studio is located in Silverbridge and has become a haven for ladies seeking headpieces and accessories, along with top style tips for weddings and race meetings.

Mairéad is hosting a Christmas shopping day this Tuesday 2nd December from 10am-9pm with discounts on scarves, gloves, jewellery and gift vouchers on offer.
