December 1, 2014

Pupils at St. Patrick’s Primary School and Nursery in Cullyhanna recently received the gift of three iPads from the committee of The Friends of Cullyhanna School.

The devices were purchased with money raised through a fundraising coffee morning and Halloween disco organized by the committee.

The Friends of Cullyhanna School group aims to assist in the funding of additional educational items to enable pupils to avail of the best possible opportunities in their educational needs.

The committee says they are delighted to be able to make the donation to the school and thank everyone who has supported their fundraising efforts.

The group’s next fundraising event – The Holly Jolly Christmas Party – will be held on Sunday 14th December from 3pm to 6pm, in conjunction with with St Patrick’s Camogie Club.

Children will have the opportunity to make Christmas logs with a tea-light candle to add to their home decorations, Christmas cards, crackers and Christmas wishes.  Fun games will include Pin the Nose on the Reindeer while Santa and his Elf will entertain.

A raffle will be held on the day and refreshments served.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy this festive event while raising much-needed funds to support local children.

Tickets are on sale from committee members and from the primary school.
