2015 Lislea Drama Festival: Main Sponsor Aidan Strain Electrical

December 22, 2014

The 34th Lislea Drama Festival Committee are delighted to announce that the 2015 Festival programme is complete and promises another varied fortnight of drama.

We are very fortunate to have once again secured the generous support of our Main Sponsor Aidan Strain Electrical. With his backing, and the support of all our many great sponsors, Lislea Drama Festival continues to flourish.

Peter O’Driscoll ADA (Association of Drama Adjudicators) has been confirmed as the esteemed festival adjudicator and patrons will welcome his experienced critique on this year’s varied programme. He has been an actor, designer and director for many years.  His principle work is in St Patrick’s College in Drumcondra, where he lectures and gives workshops on the Post Graduate course in Theatre Studies.  Previously, he worked with undergraduate student teachers in the area of Drama in Education. His recent direction of Hamlet with SPARC in the College was very well received.  He was Adjudicator for AIMS (Association of Irish Musical Societies) for several years.  He is a choir master, has directed many musicals and he played the composer ‘Janacek’ in a production last year in the Dublin Arts Club.

The 2015 Lislea Drama Festival will begin on Sat 28th February with “Be My Baby” by Amanda Whittington produced by Holy Cross, Ballycahill all the way from Co. Tipperary. Season tickets will be on sale mid-February and there will be further details in the press. Please follow us on our Twitter page @LisleaDramaFest.
