Christmas Fayre for The Rainbow Club 2014

A very successful Christmas Fayre was held in the Rangers hall for the Rainbow Club on 23rd November.  The organisers Shauna Dooley and her family put a tremendous amount of work into organising it and this was evident on the day. The total amount raised after expenses was £1040 and €681.81 a total of £1721.81, this has been presented to the Rainbow Club.

The Rainbow Club thanked Shauna and her family for this very generous donation and for her continued support.  A special word of thanks to the stall holders who came and for the beautiful array of goods that they displayed and for donated prizes for our raffle.

A special words of thanks to all those who sold and bought tickets through out the club, to Terry and Charles Armstrong of Centre and the management of Eurospar for allowing us to sell tickets in their stores.  Their co-operation and support was greatly appreciated.  Thanks to Crossmaglen Fire and Rescue Service who transported Santa and his two elves.  Thanks to Santa for his patience as he had 150 children visited him.  Thanks to St Patrick’s Primary School and all those who lent us tables.  Thanks to Gerard McMonagle of Superbites who sponsored the mince pies.  A special word of thanks to all the ladies in the kitchen who looked after the refreshments.  Thanks to everyone who helped clean up afterwards and thanks to the Rangers for the use of their facilities and to Stephen Hand for the sound equipment.  The TV was won by Peter Shevlin, Lismore, Hamper Ciaran Wharlon c/o℅ The Arc Music Centre; Briege Tavey, Dromore.  There were also 30 smaller prizes raffled on the day and these have all been distributed.
