All-Ireland Finalists – Lislea Dramatic Players present ‘Tea in a China Cup’ by Christina Reid

February 16, 2015

Lislea Dramatic Players will perform the Christina Reid play “Tea in a China Cup” on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, in the Old School House Theatre, Lislea giving patrons a chance to see them perform before they take the production on the All-Ireland Amateur Drama Festival Circuit.

This show is a portrayal of life’s recurring similarities amidst modern changes, experienced by three generations of women from a working-class, Belfast Protestant family, living through decades of social and political conflict. This tapestry of tales is linked by the central character Beth, who struggles with the strong influence of deep set traditions and the great importance attached to the heirlooms of respectability. This is a poignant, comic-tragic history of endearing characters. Prepare to laugh and then shed a tear.

The show will begin at 8pm and patrons are asked to come early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available at the door priced at £6 and all proceeds will go to local charities. Please see our website Follow us on Twitter @LisleaDramaFest and Find us on Facebook.
