Local girl to support Irish music stars at Waterfront gig

March 23, 2015

Local singer and musician Kerry Fearon is preparing to make her appearance in Belfast alongside two of the most well known names on the Irish music scene.

Dominic Kirwan is celebrating the silver anniversary of his recording career with the release of a duet named ‘Paradise Tonight’ with his good friend Mary Duff. Dominic and Mary play the Waterfront venue this Saturday March 27th and Sunday March 28th and Jonesborough native Kerry will join them as support act for the prestigious gig.

Speaking to The Examiner ahead of the weekend show, the local teacher, who also presents a country music show on Newry Community Radio, told us she is very excited and grateful for the amazing opportunity to perform with two of Ireland’s greats on the Irish music scene.

“I’m really excited and nervous and this is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!” said Kerry.

“We have been going to see Dominic since we were children! I am honoured to be sharing a stage with two superstars!”
