Forkhill 150 fundraising committee cheque presentation

Chairperson of the ‘Forkhill 150′ committee, Denise McCabe stated “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in the Forkhill 150 fundraising committee.

When the committee was formed, our goal was to raise the profile of the school and to celebrate 150 years educational service to the community. 

The year long programme of activities varying from the Table Quiz, Christmas Concert, Pamper Evening and Gala Ball was an all inclusive festival of celebration, which was a fitting way to mark this historic milestone.  We are here today to present the school with this cheque, which will help to purchase both SmartBoards and a literacy scheme for the school.  The presentation of this cheque to the school today is the culmination of the committee’s hard work, the generous sponsorship of local business and you the community for your overwhelming support of us”.
