Who are HAND?

Run for Autism H.A.N.D ( helping autism in the Newry district) is a local charity, formed by a group of parents, family members and friends in 2008.  The specific aim of the organisation is to givea helping HAND to people with autism and their families in the locality.  Our focus is to raise funds for and create awareness of autism.

We organised our first run/walk in October 2008 and encouraged by its huge success we decided to make this an annual event.

To date over £150,000 has been raised with the annual event coupled with generous donations from others.

We have funded many projects and equipment for local schools and groups (listed below).  These funds on many occasions benefit not only individuals with autism but also people living with  other disabilities.

We are always on the lookout to projects that we can fund.
