Grainne fronts glitzy award ceremony

Dromintee businesswoman Grainne McCoy fronted a glitzy award ceremony recently at one of London’s top locations, The Waldorf Hotel.

Grainne, a semi-finalist in this year’s The Apprentice programme, joined Laura Hamilton (A Place in the Sun) to co-host the awards event for the UK’s Apprentices and Trainees, led by leading training provider, Qube Learning.

Grainne built her own make-up studio and used her passion to succeed to get her onto the popular reality TV series as an Apprentice for Alan Sugar.

Congratulating recipients of the awards, Grainne: “This campaign interested me for obvious reasons. I know what it is to work hard from a young age, to prove myself and show I can succeed against the odds. Education comes in many forms and starting as a Trainee or Apprentice means you can gain knowledge in an area you are passionate about. The impact for the individual and business is undeniable, both parties benefit and it can change lives. I never dreamed I would be one of Alan Sugar’s Apprentices on one of the nation’s favourite TV series, it really does show you can make it if you keep going!”

The awards ceremony was an occasion to recognise the hard work from individuals who have overcome challenges to carve out positive paths in their futures but also to congratulate the employers Qube Learning works with and their commitment to Apprentice and Trainee schemes within their businesses.
