New Walking Club planned for Creggan

Following approaches by the public, Creggan Church of Ireland Hall Management Committee are seeking to establish a new walking club for the area. The group have recently secured funding to support the initiative. Monies have been awarded, which will allow for the purchase of reflective walking jackets and bus hire costs to transport participants to walking venues and/or Public Parks.

A meeting will take place on Tuesday 21st July 2009 at 7.30pm in Creggan C.O.I Parish Hall. The purpose of this meeting will be; to establish local interest levels, discuss possible walking routes and ultimately put in place a skeleton diary of walks for the forthcoming months.

A warm welcome is extended to all; whether you’re an avid walker who loves the great outdoors or are someone who wishes to try something different and experience a new past-time.
