O’Neills Off-Licence on the Concession Road in Crossmaglen has been shortlisted for the prestigious Off-Licence of the Year award at the inaugural Licensed & Catering News (LCN) Awards, which will take place at a glittering gala dinner in Belfast next month.

At a time when the industry is facing unprecedented challenges, this prestigious awards ceremony has been launched to celebrate excellence and to acknowledge and reward the outstanding achievements, hard work and dedication of Northern Ireland’s most innovative businesses and individuals in the licensed, catering, tourism and hospitality industries.

Out of an impressive 350 entries, 52 businesses – spanning bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels – have been shortlisted to go head-to-head for 14 awards at the prestigious LCN Gala Awards ceremony in the Ramada Hotel on Friday 2nd October, which will be hosted by BBC Radio Ulster broadcaster, Gerry Kelly.

Proprietor of O’Neill’s Off Licence, Shane O’Neill, says he is ‘honoured and excited’ to be recognised as one of the top five off-licences in Northern Ireland.

“We regularly review the range in store, shaping our offers around customer demand, which sees us attracting a very loyal customer base,” Shane said.  “We have an enviable reputation of offering the very best in value and quality and are also in the process of developing our own newsletter to highlight new products and promotions.”

The long-established premises has been recently refurbished and offers customers an extensive range of wines, spirits and beers, along with monthly promotional offers and discount on bulk orders.

As part of his fresh approach to customer service, Shane has recently established a Wine Club within the business, and plans to hold a wine-tasting course in the near future.  Anyone wishing to be a part of this innovative initiative should contact the off-licence.
