New company capitalizes on legalization of sale of CBD

March 19, 2019

Following legislation that permits the sale of Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil as a food supplement, a newly established online Newry business is capitalizing on the move with plans to become a dedicated CBD specialist company.

Bloom Botanics has launched its online CBD ‘superstore’ and despite being in its infancy, has its eye on global expansion.

Founded by brothers Jacob and Joshua Neilly, is a one-stop shop for CBD products, while also providing education and information to all CBD-related queries.

Believing there to be a distinct lack of professional and legitimate CBD specialist e-commerce experience in the UK, Jacob says he came up with the idea of setting up the company to help dispel the “stigma” and confusion around CBD and to offer people a safe and trustworthy mechanism through which to buy the product.

“The current state of CBD in the UK is highly unregulated, putting the consumer at risk of purchasing either a poorly made, mislabelled product or getting a bad deal for their money. This, in turn, leads to a bad first impression of CBD.  At Bloom Botanics, we hope to bring a level of professionalism to de-stigmatise and legitimise the market by putting standards in place which protect the consumer, ensuring that they have access to high-quality effective CBD,” Jacob said.

His brother and co-founder Joshua brings a wealth of experience to the company, having accumulated an abundance of knowledge and expertise in the Cannabidiol industry from his role as Chief Growth Officer for, the world’s online authority for medical cannabis & CBD, while also holding the position of Managing Director of Fat Fish Marketing, based in Newry city centre.

The Neilly brothers are excited to provide a reputable and trustworthy alternative to this rapidly expanding market and also to the creation of much-needed jobs within the Newry area.
