South Armagh Halloween Festival Fancy Dress Competition
October 27, 2009
Calling all kids, calling all kids! We hope you are all busy getting your Halloween costumes ready for the fancy dress parade in Crossmaglen on Saturday 31st October at 4pm.
This fancy dress parade is being organised as part of the South Armagh Halloween Festival and will feature fire engines, friendly witches, wizards, skeletons and much more and will be lead around the Square by our local Burns and Moley Memorial Band.
Once the parade has finished those children who have been selected to represent their primary schools will make their way to the Community Centre where the Grand Finale of the fancy dress competition will take place. Judges for this event are, local businesswoman Bernie McKeown, along with former Armagh Goalkeeper Benny Tierney and current Armagh and Crossmaglen Rangers player Aaron Kernan. The competition will be followed by a disco also in the Community Centre.
The organising committee would like to stress that all children are invited to the fancy dress parade however, due to number restrictions, only those who are selected through their schools can take part in the fancy dress competition Grand Finale. We would like to encourage parents to take their children to the fancy dress parade and enjoy all of the activities taking place around the town at this time.
