Spate of break-ins in Forkhill
October 27, 2009
A spate of recent burglaries in Forkhill has been condemned by Sinn Féin councillor, Anthony Flynn.
Between 3pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, three houses in the village were targeted by thieves.
Condemning those responsible, Councillor Flynn said: “The community here in Forkhill are outraged at the actions of these individuals who have taken it upon themselves to rob members of this community. The most harrowing aspect of this latest incident is that the culprits had the audacity to commit these crimes in broad day light. This has obviously caused great stress to the people who came home to find their homes damaged and their belongings missing.”
Mr Flynn commended members of the local Safety Group who secured the door of one of the homes shortly after the discovery. He urged the community to be vigiliant to such crimes.
