Teac Mallon Summer Festival Programme

Teac Mallon in Meigh has launched its festival programme, which will see the event feature some of the most respected and popular singers and storytellers from the area.

The Bard of Armagh, Patsy O’Hagan, will precede the festival providing the entertainment on Friday July 30th.

The festival officially opens on Sunday August 1st at 8.00pm with guest artists Celtic Essence, Irish Tenor Paul Redmond and Canadian Soprano Karen Lynch.  Admission to this event is £10.

On Tuesday 3rd August at 8.00pm Newry mountaineer, Banjo Bannon, will present a slideshow on Everest and K2 mountains. Admission is £3/£2.

An organised walk to St. Moninna’s Well will commence at 11.00am on Wednesday August 4th.  This will be followed at 9.00pm by a Reminiscence Night with Crubeen featuring Our Great Heritage narrated by Pat O’Neill and Brian Dooley.  Admission £5.

Thursday 5th August 2pm – 4pm Creative Writing workshop with Rowan Hand.

Friday 6th August at 9.00 pm entertainment will be provided by Billy Finnegan with Tom O’Rourke.

The Festival will conclude on Saturday 7th August at 9.00pm with music by Sam Maguire’s Folk Group.  Admission £5.
