Search for second Crossmaglen man continues

At this time of mixed emotion for the Armstrong family, one is also mindful of the plight of another Crossmaglen family still awaiting the return of their loved one.

Gerard Evans disappeared while thumbing a lift home from Castleblayney in May 1979.

His family has campaigned alongside the Armstrongs throughout the past three decades for information on his whereabouts.

Presently the search for Gerard is centering on an area of farmland just across the border near Hackballscross, Co. Louth.  The search has been hampered by bad weather but it is hoped it will still yield a positive outcome and the prayers of this family, too, will be answered.
