Ring of Gullion Threshing Festival

On Sunday 26th September the Ring of Gullion will hold their 5th Annual Threshing Festival.

This will include Vintage Tractor and car display as well as a fun day for all the family.  Please note there is a change of venue this year.  The festivities will take place in Murphy’s Field, Carickasticken, Forkhill beginning at 12 noon.

As well as the threshing display there will be a wide range of old style farming methods, reapers, binders, mills, demonstrations, pony rides, tradestands, bouncing castles and lots lots more.

A lot of effort has been put into organising this event by the committee as many charities will benefit from the proceeds charities that benefited in previous years include: Southern Area Hospice, North Louth Hospice, Motor Neurones South, Motor Neurones North, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism, Samaritans, Children’s Hospice, Renal Unit, Meningitis Research and Alzheimer’s.

The Ring of Gullion of Gullion Vintage and Harvest Festival 5th Annual Harvest Dance will take place on Saturday 2nd October in Kilcurry Resource Centre.  Music on the night by Limelite.  Tickets are available from any of the committee members.  Some of the harvest produce will be auctioned on the night, refreshments will be served.
