Woman and child escape injury in petrol bomb attack

A woman and a three-year-old boy narrowly escaped injury when their Newry home was petrol-bombed on Wednesday night.

Around 11.15pm a petrol bomb was thrown at the house in The Glen area of the city.  The device caused scorch damage to the front porch.  The family car was also set alight in the attack.

The lady and the child were in the house at the time but escaped uninjured.
