John Rafferty links up with Greezer

In what has been a clear endorsement of what Armagh has to offer Kildare County Board and players have opted for another Orchard County native and former player John Rafferty to replace fellow Armagh man Aidan O’Rourke as Lilywhites selector.

It was confirmed at a County Board meeting that Rafferty would been added to the Kildare senior football management team. John won an Ulster SFC medal in 1999 and went on to guide Antrim club St Gall’s to an All-Ireland club final appearance in 2006.Currently Head of Sport & PE at St Paul’s High School, Newry, Rafferty was assistant manager of the Orchard County in 2007 and is widely regarded as a key addition to Kieran McGeeney’s think-tank.
