Raglan launch debut album

September 12, 2012

Raglan, the unique folk/ classical band are set to launch their debut album at Armagh’s Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre this Friday, September 14th.

The group, who have created a fusion between folk and classical music, are especially excited about the upcoming launch as the Market Place venue holds a special place in their history and development. Back in 2011 Raglan played there to a rapturous audience as support to “The Legend of Luke Kelly” show. The overwhelming reaction of the crowd marked a turning point for the band and saw them promise to return with their own show.

One year on, and the four piece band, made up of local musicians and singers, Petey Doran, Stephen McNulty, Terry Conlon and Joanna Doran, are upholding their promise with the special launch of their CD on Friday night.

The album will be a mix of old classic and newly composed material, all of which have been given the unique Raglan sound.

Tickets for Friday’s launch can be purchased from Armagh Market Place Theatre Box Office on 028 3752 1821.
