Start your own business with the RYE programme!

October 30, 2012

Have you an idea for something that is missing in your area that you think people will be prepared to pay for? Have you got the skills to deliver this?

Starting your own business may well be the best way for you to get into work that suits you and maybe doing something that you really enjoy.

The RYE (Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Programme) could help you find out if self-employment could work for you.

Through workshops, events and interactive online resources the programme is designed to help 18-30 year olds in the top 50% most deprived rural areas to consider what employment is, and how it works, generate a business idea that will take advantage of new opportunities and develop a Business Action Plan that will give you the tools and the confidence to make your business idea a reality.

The programme offers; workshops to help consider if self-employment is right for you; the opportunity to hear from other young people who have started their own business and their experiences; Expert advice to help develop your proposal and free online resources and back up support which you can work through at your own pace.

Our first workshop in your area will be taking place on the 19th of November at 7pm-9pm in the Keady Recreational Centre. This will be the first part of a two part work shop. The second workshop will take place on the 26th of November at 7pm in the Keady Recreational centre. More workshops will take place across Northern Ireland during 2013.

Remember to take part in this programme you do not need to have a business idea or even thought of working for yourself before and there is no obligation to complete the programme if at any stage you feel it is not for you, or you are ready to move on early.

It is completely free of charge and will be available only to young people from eligible rural areas.

To book a place on this workshop please contact Donna on TEL: 02837511624 or email: donna@youthaction.org It is a requirement to confirm your attendance beforehand.
