Top UK and all-Ireland Award for Two Northern Ireland Students

Two students, from the Garvey School of Speech and Drama based in Lislea, Co. Armagh, received the highest mark in their examinations in the UK and all-Ireland with the New Era Academy, London. Sarah Taheny, aged 10, from Dromintee, received the Peggy Law Certificate of Excellence, achieving 91% in her Grade 3 Foundation Medal in Speech and Drama while Kerry Garvey aged 16, from Lislea, was awarded the Ronald Marsh Certificate of Excellence, also achieving 90% in Grade 5 Public Speaking with her speech on ‘Alternative Medicine’.

The New Era Academy offers a syllabus of graded examinations in a variety of communication, presentation and performance disciplines, structured to comply with the Qualifications and Credit  Framework as currently required by Ofqual.
