St Joseph’s students make a ‘Splash’ as they enter the Den!

As part of the COPE programme, a group of 10 St Joseph’s High School Crossmaglen students along with their teachers, Paul Mulholland and Noreen McMahon have started a Young Enterprise Business – “Splash”. They supply personalised re-usable sports water bottles to schools, businesses and sporting clubs.

On Friday 7th December, Splash attended the Young Enterprise Trade Fair held in the Outlet, Banbridge. They achieved the award for Best Product.

They continued on their path to success on Saturday 8 December where they presented their Company to a panel of judges at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin for the All-Ireland final of Junior Dragons’ Den – sponsored by Bank of Ireland. The students were commended on having an excellent product and business model. They have been selected to pitch their idea to the Dragons on RTE’s Dragon’s Den Television programme.

The Company have secured orders from local primary schools and football clubs and wish to thank Dearbhla of DMC Design, Noreen McCann from the Bank of Ireland, Joanne Mallon of YENI and Stephen Kernan, the Company’s business advisor. for their help, support and commitment since this journey began in October 2012.
