Armagh can trip up Tipp

Last weeks 11 point victory over Clare at Milltown Malbay secured a semi-final berth for Armagh in Division Two of the Lidl Ladies National Football League.

Armagh need the Clare win following a narrow loss to Waterford the previous week a result that secured the Deice a semi-final berth before the last round of fixtures. Semi-final times and venues for all four Divisions have to be confirmed by the to be confirmed by the LGFA.

Armagh will face Tipperary in the semis with the Premier side losing out to Waterford 1-19 to 2-6 in their last league game but both teams were under strength as they were already into the semi-finals. Armagh hosted Tipperary in their opening league match with the visitors going home with the points following a narrow 2-12 to 2-10 victory.

Armagh have blown hot and cold over the course of their group league games but will know full well that they will have to be on top of their game to topple Tipp. If Armagh perform to their full capabilities and win it might present them with former manager James Daly featuring in the opposing dugout in the final. James has led his new charges Cavan to a semi-final meeting with Waterford and victory for the Breffni ladies will set up a very interesting final.
