Armagh Hurling Manager Resigns
Armagh hurling manager Paddy Kelly has resigned from his post and will be replaced by interim manager Padraig O’Connor.
Kelly has stepped down Following a disappointing Allianz League Division 2B campaign which culminated in relegation for the second year-in-a-row Kelly stepped down after only 4 months at the helm. The Meath native had replaced Sylvester McConnell last December and his decision will have impacted on preparations for May 12 when they travel to Ballycran to face Down in the first round of the Christy Ring Cup.
Armagh chairman Michael Savage said: “Paddy has given valuable inter-county experience to many of our young players over the past year. On behalf of Armagh County Board, I would like to thank Paddy and his management team for their time, dedication and commitment.”
