Charity fundraiser for Sophia
This Sunday 30th June, commencing at 11.00am, a family fun day event will be held at Silverbridge GFC in aid of Dundalk toddler Sophia Griffin.
Organised by local haulage firm KMC Transport, the event will raise funds for 3-year-old Sophia who last year was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy and PVL Brain Injury. The disease affects Sophia’s mobility and will worsen as she ages, likely resulting in her becoming wheelchair bound. However, her family is holding out hope and are fundraising towards a life changing surgery in the USA which will cost in the region of €100,000.
It is hoped Sunday’s family fun day event will help boost the coffers and bolster the fundraising campaign. The event will feature a truck and vehicle show, children’s funfair, football competitions, trade stalls and a wide range of family entertainment.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come along and lend their support to Sophia’s campaign.
