Crossmaglen champion boxer set for Dundalk fight night

Five-time Irish Champion boxer Shauna O’Callaghan is set to take part in one of the biggest boxing nights ever to be held in Dundalk next month.

The event takes place on Saturday 12th December and will see Liverpool Wildcard Boxing Club make the journey across the Irish Sea to Clann Naofa’s Boxing Academy, Muirhevnamor to take on Clann Naofa’s select fighters, headed by European silver medal winner – Crossmaglen girl Shauna O’Callaghan.

Shauna has earned herself an international reputation since her stunning victory over English Champion and silver medallist Chloe Watts, who had to retire after the first round encounter with Shauna in the Ireland vs England Girls International which was held in Clann Naofa’s clubrooms in January this year.

The Crossmaglen boxer also put on a brilliant display in the World Championships in China this year and again with her silver medal win in Hungary.

She will be joined in the upcoming fight night by three-time Irish Champion Evelyn Igharo whose silky skills and lightning speed have placed her in line for international duty, having already trained with the Irish Girl Team in the High Performance Unit in The IABA Dublin HQ.

Also on the 16 bout card will be local Clann Naofa boxers including Evelyn’s brother, Iosa Igharo, a triple runner up in the chase for an Irish Title. Also boxing on the card will be Ciaran McGuire, Eddie Gaffey, Chris O’Neill, and Dillon O’Neill to name a few.

A fantastic night of entertaining boxing is in store so make sure to get there early as the first bout starts at 7:30 pm sharp on Saturday the 12th Dec 2015.

Admission is payable at the door at €5 for adults and €3 for kids.
