Crossmaglen SpinOff for Cycle Against Suicide
On Saturday October 24th over 400 cyclists from all 32 counties of Ireland will be setting off from Crossmaglen on a 50 mile cycle through villages and towns in south Armagh to help spread the message that “It’s Ok not to feel Ok and it’s absolutely Ok to ask for help” – the powerful mission statement of the Cycle Against Suicide organisation.
The ‘SpinOff’ is a locally organised spin that will take place on the third Saturday of every month after the main Cycle Against Suicide event ends. The event is locally organised, owned by the community and championed by Cycle Against Suicide ‘local leaders.’
SpinOff will have all the colour, energy and fun of the annual Cycle but all packed into a single day. Entertainment, refreshments and a mental well-being event will all take place before and after the cycle.
Every Cycle Against Suicide event requires the joint efforts of the entire community and allows for local people to work together with a common purpose and focus. Not only does it provide a platform for dialogue to take place around mental health and suicide but it also provides a meaningful and tangible way for communities to get active and join in the fight against suicide. if anyone is interested in volunteering on the day contact Damien Martin on 02830868690 or by email : firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday October 24th, Registration for the SpinOff on Saturday October 24th begins from 8-10am. 10’30 am start sharp, 10 euro entry fee for cycling Ireland members.
