Culloville 5k Run for Robyn
A 5k Fun Run event will be held in Culloville this weekend to help with fundraising efforts for a seriously ill child to avail of treatment in the US.
Local women Janet Mooney and Carol Ann McKeever have organized the charity event in aid of 10-year-old Robyn Smyth from Dublin, who suffers from a rare childhood cancer.
Robyn was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and is currently enduring her fourth battle with the disease. Her family are actively fundraising for Robyn to continue with specialist treatment in America, which without these vital funds, will cease.
The charity 5k Fun Run will commence from Culloville Community Centre this Sunday 26th February at 10am, with registration from 9am.
Participants can run, jog or walk the route, which is suitable for families and young children.
Entry is adults €10, children €5 and families €20.
Donations to Robyn’s campaign are also welcome.
Refreshments will be served after the event and everyone is encouraged to come along and support this vital fundraiser.
