Geraldine Donnelly funeral arrangements
The remains of former Slieve Gullion area councillor Geraldine Donnelly will be returned to her Crossmaglen home later today (Monday) following repatriation from Spain.
Mrs Donnelly died suddenly on Saturday 29th June while on holiday with her family on the island of Ibiza. A protracted wait to have a post mortem carried out in Spain before her body could be released has led to the lengthy delay and compounded the grief of her devastated family.
Removal will take place from McConville’s Funeral Home, Crossmaglen this evening (Monday) at 7pm to her late residence at 66 Newry Road. Wake times are Monday 7.30pm to 10.30pm and Tuesday 11am to 10.30pm. Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11.00am in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossmaglen, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs Donnelly is survived by her husband Sean, son Niall, daughters Sandra (Hughes) and Karen (McNamee), sons-in-law Aidan and Tony, daughter-in-law Pauline, grandchildren Ben, Joseph, James, Rory, Orla, Sean, Danny, Lara, Niall and Ava, her eight sisters and extended family circle to whom deepest sympathy is extended.
