Kilimanjaro challenge beckons for Dorsey duo

This weekend two local men are set to take on the challenge of a lifetime by scaling one of the world’s highest peaks in aid of charity.

The stage is set for Ciaran McCann and Shane McCreesh from Dorsey who will set off this Saturday to embark on their trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT).

The trip is the culmination of months of active fundraising combined with a gruelling training schedule ahead of their climb of the world’s tallest freestanding mountain.  And as part of their final training preparations the pair successfully climbed the UK’s highest peak Ben Nevis last weekend.

A 24-hour journey awaits the lads from their homes in Dorsey to Moshi Town, Tanzania, Africa – the home of the huge summit, reaching more than 2,000ft, before they begin their grueling ascent.

Ciaran and Sean take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported their fundraising efforts thus far and appreciate every donation to this worthy charity.

Donations can still be made by contacting either Ciaran (07783548278) or Shane (07907642184), via Facebook Messanger or their gofundme page at
