Local Milliner and dress boutique to feature in BBC True North series
Two local businesses, Millinery by Mairead and Rosie’s Closet, are set to feature in tonight’s edition of the BBC One True North series. The programme – ‘Best dressed ladies ‘ – will air tonight (Monday 27th February) at 10.40pm.
The two businesses were contacted early last year and asked to take part in the documentary. It follows local ladies Emma Hanratty and Kirsty Farrell as they attend Ladies Day race events across the country. Whilst the cameras were following the girls as they upped the fashion stakes at race meetings all over Ireland, Kirsty won Best Dressed Lady at the Curragh and Down Royal.
Mairead Traynor of Millinery by Mairead will show the work that goes on behind the scenes as the Milliner who creates the hats to accompany the show-stopping ensembles from the renowned Rosie’s Closet boutique.
Tune in tonight to BBC One at 10.40 to view all the fashion and fun that Ladies Day events bring.
