Silverbridge annual Vintage Rally
This Sunday 25th September, Silverbridge GFC will host its annual Vintage Rally.
Always a great day in the club’s social calendar, organisers are hoping to repeat the success of previous years and invite all owners of vintage cars and tractors to bring along their cherished vehicles and be a part of this memorable event.
Registration for the event opens at 12 noon at the club and the rally will get underway at 1.00pm sharp.
The 10-mile route will commence from the club grounds and wind its way through Creggan, Glassdrummond, Ballsmill, Tullydonnell and Silverbridge before returning to Keeley Park.
In keeping with tradition, a prized Ferguson T20 tractor – once owned by Peter Keeley, one of the club’s esteemed founding members and after whom the grounds are named – will lead the rally.
Organisers take this opportunity to remind vehicle owners of the importance that drivers of all participating vehicles must be licensed and appreciate their cooperation in this matter.
Refreshments for participants will be served in the clubrooms afterwards.
