Three charged in connection with string of burglaries
Three men have been charged with a number of burglary offences in relation to thefts from homes in Crossmaglen and Lislea.
Two of the men, aged 41 and 24, have been charged with burglary, while a 32-year-old man was earlier charged with a number of offences including handling stolen goods and possession of class B drugs.
The trio are scheduled to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on November 11th.
The charges follow four burglaries reported to police on Tuesday last, 13th October.
In Crossmaglen, a house on the Blaney Road and a second on the Newry Road were broken into while burglaries at two properties in Longfield Heights, Lislea were also reported to police.
Along with the 32-year-old, two further men, aged 41 and 24, were also questioned in connection with the incidents. An old-style blue Audi car was seized by police as part of the investigation.
Detective Inspector David Henderson appealed for information: “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a blue old-style Audi in the Newry or south Armagh,” he said.
