Ulster Title for O’Gorman

Rory O’Gorman of St Malachy’s ABC became Ulster Champion 70kg on Sunday at Deelee College, Raphoe, Co Donegal where a total of 23 finals were concluded 

Rory boxing St Bridget’s Daniel Campbell took the decision out of the judges hands and claimed the title by TKO in the second round 

Now Qualified for the All-Ireland Championships which take place in Dublin’s National Stadium in 3 weeks time.

 After his sucess last year Rory hopes to bring home another Irish Title.

Rory is from the town land of Cashel in Mullaghbawn,  he is a student at St Joseph’s Crossmaglen 

He started boxing when he was 8 years old he and his older brother Shane train with St Malachy’s ABC, Camlough,  where they train 3 nights weekly and on Saturdays they also travel to Jordanstown to train with the Ulster High Performance team 

Rory currently holds the title of Armagh/Down Boxer of the Year  and has used his boxing as his assessment for GCSE PE.
